The day an underwater rope used to tie small fishing boats was floated out from the river bed where it was destroying the remaining seagrass meadows in the Sado estuary, in Portugal. An operation was setup to find and protect the wildlife it harboured, before and after its removal, most notably to protect the seahorses.
